I just realized, when sending out this month's official college communique to over 1,000 readers that I made a huge gaffe in regards to the area of expertise of an upcoming visiting professor from Europe.
I had to follow that up with the following:
'As far as we know, Dr. V--- T. S----, the upcoming Wildlife Speaker Series lecturer, is actually an expert in the area of 'bird conservation' as opposed to the lesser known, more nebulous field of 'bird conversation.'
I think I'll go home early today.
