I really really love this. In a Webster-featured story set post-war, it's so unburdening to read in the knowledge that it's an au and thus it isn't a given that Web will later die at sea; I always find his story so tragic, even in relation to those of the other Easy Company men. Also, the writing is wonderful! The UST is very nicely done in my opinion. I am really looking forward to the next part!

I won't lie. I did briefly tempt and toy with that ending, so it's not as if it's exclusively out of the picture? That said, I've got two more parts to go before we even reach that point!
