I hate it when my food congeals. It's so gross.
I went to Half-Price Books today. They were having a sale. ::happy book-sale face:: Everything was an extra 20% off. So I splurged. Let's see, I got a glam rock collection. Has Pop and Bolan and New York Dolls and so on. I got a Johnny Depp movie. I can't remember the title, but I remember it has Jack the Ripper and that influenced my decision. The Please Save My Earth anime. It was just so kismet they had it because now whenever I miss Adam I can put it in and watch Issei kiss Jinpachi. Because we like that sort of thing. Victor Victoria -- which is the best freaking movie I've seen in a while. Or it had been when I rented it months ago (and consequently refused to watch anything else the entire time I had it and took it back late). And still is. Because, if nothing else, Julie Andrews has a great profile. And crossdresses. A collection of gay and lesbain fiction for teens (this means short stories). A romance novel between guys working at an escort service. Historical romance about James. (Of Scotland, yes. We like people with those tendancies.) A script for a lesbian movie. Complete with pictures! A book about the trials (of Oscar, of course). And The Complete Works of Oscar Wilde. In one book. They had TWO copies. And they were different. And I was tragically torn between them. Because this one was PINK...but had a great cover picture (the one of Oscar in the hat doing that weird psuedo-Napolean thing) and the other one had bad coverart...but was a hardcover. Ergo, TRAGEDY. A~~~~nd then the hardcover copy had one of THE SINGLE MOST HIDEOUS TYPOS ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET. It said, and I quote, "The Inportance of being Earnest." For those of you who missed it, let's play that tape again in slow motion this time. "The Inportance of Being Earnest." It was hideous and horrendous and their evil plot must be stopped. So if I disappear for a while it's because I'm stopping evil plots...not because I have new books that are more attractive than writing posts no one ever responds to, so I'm not sure if anyone reads.
Also, Jeremy's going seasonal. This is a great tragedy (mostly for Sarah and myself) because I swear to you, no one wears an apron like Jeremy. And there may be pictures eventually. Either when he comes back to work in two months...or if I go through withdrawl because no one wears an apron like Jeremy and go over to his house and demand he have random theatre cosplay for my benefit. (It's not as crazy as it sounds.)
(Can anyone guess what it will be this time?) And livejournal sucks for not having "robbed" as a mood.
P.S. -- Robbed because Jeremy's taking his apron and leaving me.
P.P.S. -- I almost typed "mod" instead of "mood." Heh...mod. (So...are you a mod or a rocker? Prizes to the first person with the correct answer.)
