Thinking about my wedding reception
Mom and I have started buying decorations for the wedding reception! We bought these great bowls at Wal-Mart that look like autumn leaves which we are going to put candles in that smell like the Bath and Body Works fragrance Autumn Leaves. We also bought loose silk autumn leaves which we are going to spread on the tables around the bowls. I am also planning to have some tables with dark green tableclothes and some with dark brown. I think it's going to look GREAT!
I have also been thinking about the food. We are doing a dessert reception with wedding cake, groom's cake, moonpies and RC cola (yes, I AM being serious!), punch, and mints. Granny had talked to me about the possibility of me making my own mints, like the soft little pastel mints you see at a lot of weddings. I think I might do that. I found a good recipe on Food Network's website, but I'll have to get a mold for the mints. I am also thinking that I might do chocolate-covered mint leaves, some in milk chocolate and some in dark chocolate. The leaves would definitely fit our color scheme! I am really starting to have fun ith this!
Note: Aaron and I have also started our premarital counseling. An interesting experience.
