VOICE POST;
Hey Luck, I'm skipping work tonight.

...Though come to think of it, I think I'm gonna quit. Don't feel like it at all, ya know? Ennis can have my job.

[ooc; kaldjlk forgot to mention, but all responses are voice unless otherwise stated. Like all his other entries. Except now it's more of laziness than technology fail on his part. Sob.]

*poly curse: fatigue day, *poly !affected

[Surprised by the sudden change in personality, Ennis tried to respond over the device, but simply had no words to ask Firo what was going on. Instead, she decided to wander through the apartment in search of him so she could see for herself what the matter was... or if he was just giving up his job on purpose so she wouldn't have to worry about finding another one or something of that nature.]

[It would have been nice if Firo was indeed thinking of giving up his job on purpose so Ennis won't have to find one herself, but in reality he's just. damn. lazy. today. Example: Lounging in his bed with the device in hand, usual green jacket off because he went "to hell with it" in the middle of putting clothes on.]

[The door was just open enough for her to catch a glimpse of him through the cracks. Concerned, but also very confused, she knocks lightly on the door to announce her presence.]

[Would get up and answer it, but. Nah.]

You can come in!

[She hesitates for just a moment before entering, and even then, stands just a step past the door frame. Though she'd known him for less than two months, she'd never seen him like this, and she began to wonder if he had fallen ill. If the city had a virus that could affect them, anyway.]

Firo... are you feeling all right?

[No, he wouldn't make an effort to smile, but it's Ennis after all, and somehow that seems to come naturally. It takes less muscles to smile than frown, anyway, or so they say.]

I'm doin' fine!

[He pauses for a while, before:]

Hey uh... can you get me a glass of water? I'm feelin' kinda thirsty.

[The lazy smile assures her more than his words, but since she was still stuck on what to say, the task asked of her came as a relief, even as she thought of how strange it was for him to ask her to do something that he would normally do himself.]

Yes, of course...

[She leaves the room and returns in about half a minute with a tall glass of tap water. Ennis holds it out to him and says;]

I'll cover your shift tonight, but you should talk to Mr. Gandor at length before you come to any decisions regarding your employment.

[He reaches out to take the glass from her and gives another smile, a bit wider this time]

Thanks, Ennis!

[But then she mentions about his employment and the smile disappears; there's the slightest hint of thoughtfulness now, but even that fades almost automatically as if it took too much effort]

Yeah, 'bout that... Guess I should go talk to him, [If Luck ever stops by his room, because he sure won't be the one doing the walking] but I really got a feelin' I'm much more suited for home. [Bumming around]

[She nods back and studies him carefully, trying to discover the reason behind his sudden lack of motivation beyond simple laziness... which simply does not compute. Along with what he's telling her about being more suited from home. But she humors him.]

Is there some sort of job you're interested in that allows you to work from home?
