I need a vacation from vacation

Update: I have not worked since August 13th. I still have one more week to go - new job doesn't start until Sept 4th. You know when you have time off at home and you say to yourself, "Damn, with 3 weeks off, I'm going to get so much done" ? Well, what I've done with myself amounts to a hill of beans. I've done literally nothing except play Nintendo. I don't even think I've seen a soul except for Emily. No wait, I went to Game Over a few days ago and hung out there for a few hours. That was a few days ago? Who knows anymore. I bought Track & Field II for NES, which is a classic. I bought Baseball Stars also. Way overrated, at least so far. You can't find a NES fan without them giving a verbal blowjob to Baseball Stars. I might cut a hole into a watermelon for it, maybe a lazy handjob if it's lucky, but it is not to blowjob status yet.

I wouldn't know what day it was today except that I saw Emily put on jeans to go to work, so I know it's Friday.

I thought I'd get a lot farther into my Netflix list with this time off. I have The Life Aquatic and Magnolia sitting by my TV, and I'm not in the mood for either. I watched Matchstick Men last week - that movie got a bad rap. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Instead of movies, I've been reading Make Love! - The Bruce Campbell Way! by Bruce Campbell. Very funny. I haven't read a laugh-out-loud funny book since A Confederacy of Dunces, and that was a year ago.

Caught Superbad last week. It was cringe-inducing in the Meet The Parents kind of way. I just wanted them to get to the fucking party! Very funny, though. I'll have to think of a new "wear a suit to the airport bar" name now that McLovin is taken, though. No, wait - I'm Senator Evan Williams, Democrat from New Hampshire! Not with this ratty, week-and-a-half-old beard I'm sporting, though.

I think I understand why, when you play The Sims, you have to let your sim out of the house every now and then. They go crazy and start to have visions. I think I'm to that point.
