So I get that I still look plausibly young enough to need carding (I'm 29, almost 30). That's fine. In fact, it's a little bit of a compliment. And I'm close enough that I expect to need it, though I don't always. But squinting at my wife, and asking for her ID (after seeing my ID, which clearly states that I'm plenty old enough). And needing to call a manager, because she doesn't have her ID; that is ridiculous. If I were buying booze for underage kids, I could just hand it over outside the store, rather than having them stand beside me at the checkout line. WTF WinCo?
