McCain's pick of Pailin is smart because it pacifies the Religous Right, and outwardly, appears to reach out to Hillary's women.
BUT...what kind of Hillary supporter is against gay rights? What kind of Hillary supporter is for over turning Roe V Wade(as Pailin is)? This pick is smoke and mirrors, I think the logical Hillary Clinton supporters will heed her call to not vote for McCain and support Obama and will not be fooled by this pick.
In fact, women everywhere should be outraged at this blatant pandering.
Any woman who is strictly voting her vagina should think twice about the access a vote to McCain/Palin will give to her uterus.
McCain's pick is dumb because a lot of the electorate is concerned about this aging man, and the person he thinks would be qualified to lead America has less experience utilizing her judgment and leadership than yes, even Barack Obama. This choice was about politics, not about wisdom or judgment. Should anything happen to Obama, at least Americans will feel more comfortable about Biden as President. Yet at McCain's age, 72 and two bouts with skin cancer, he puts somebody who has been Governor for LESS THAN TWO YEARS, and previously a Mayor of a city of 9,000, a heartbeat away from the Presidency?
What kind of judgment does that show?
