21 years on: You may be gone but you're not forgotten.

Apr 15, 2010 13:03

21 years ago, over 20,000 Liverpool fans went to Sheffield for a football match. 96 of those fans never returned home. 96 people, 96 lives, 96 families destroyed. 96 is not just a number, it's 96 individuals. 48 of those 96 fans were aged 21 years old or younger. Puts it in perspective doesn't it? The youngest victim was just 10 years old: Jon Paul Gilhooley, our own captain Steven Gerrard's cousin. 10 years old, that is no age to have your life taken from you.

21 years has passed and justice still has not been done.

NEVER FORGET HILLSBOROUGH.
