'Ear 'ear
The Husband: "Tell me you didn't buy "Ambre Solaire Factor 50 Sunblock Stick For Kids" to put on White Cat's ears?
Me: "Of course not! I bought it to put on my face. But since White Cat is a white cat, and gets sunburned ears, I could, conceivably, put it on White Cat's ears..."
The Husband: "Also, we don't have any kids."
Due to the unexpected heatwave of 20C and brief sunshine, White Cat did indeed get sunburned ears the other week. The were very pink, and she went around with them pulled downwards, which looked very amusing, but we mustn't laugh. I put L'Occitane En Provence Miel et Citron Creme de Rejouissante on them, and she ran off and sulked and wouldn't speak to me.
We do have kids, they're just adults. It's quite touching to see The Husband fetch "...the kids' drinks..." at dinner time, and realise that they're more alcoholic than what we're drinking.
