Cameron stretched his arms behind his head to prop it up so he could get a better view of the lake he lay before. He had just finished a book and could use a break for his eyes. The sun danced across the lake and make it hard to stare at the water for longer than a few moments.
The boy squinted up as he heard footsteps approaching him.

She finally got up off her butt and walked over to where he was laying, "Hi Cam," she said as she came upon him, hoping to not startle him.

"Oh, hey," he said with a small smile.

He was always good for a border-line-tasteless joke.

She cleared her throat, she did feel awkward talking to him in person. At least on journals it was a tad bit easier.
"Ready to go home?"
ooc: is he like...a 7th year NOW or he will be a 7th year?
Reply
"You?"
ooc: he's going to be a 7th year in the fall.

"Going to the ball?"
ooc: yea, I'm dumb, I just read that in one of his earlier posts about having a year left..haha.

"I imagine you're going, yeah?"
Reply
"Yea, I'm going. It should be fun."
ooc: do you have AIM?
Reply
"Yeah, you'll have fun."

"You should come to at least dance with me once," she decided that was probably pushing her luck, but she couldn't help it. She did want to be friends after all.
ooc: okay, i'm going to e-mail you from natalie.gryff@gmail.com!

"Maybe," he said simply, scratching his forehead.
"Dunno if they'd let me in the ball naked," he teased.
Reply
"But seriously. Even if you don't stay for the entire thing, I think I'm special enough to deserve a dance."

"How'd you do on exams?"
Reply
"Exams...they were okay. I didn't really study that much. Next year I will though," she was a fair student, but not overly motivated, "I think I failed my potions, actually."

He looked over at the girl beside him. It was the first time he had really gotten a good look at her since they broke up. Aside from a few passing glances in the halls, his last memory of her was the way her mascara ran down her face along with the tears when he told her it was over. Talk about guilt. His smile seemed to fade.
