Cameron was by nature a morning person. While being up late tended to negate that, there still was the whole timezone issue to consider. Which meant that he could easily sneak out of bed, go for a run and return in time to have Veronica wake up ( Read more... )

Veronica was by nature a morning person, too. If, by morning person, you meant someone who could function in the morning after a couple cups of coffee.

So when Cameron nudged her, she swatted at him. "Too early," she mumbled.

Cameron snickered and caught her hand. "No, it's not," he whispered, leaning in to kiss her awake.

Veronica cracked her eyes open and looked at him. "Out?"

"Uh huh," he nodded and rubbed a hand down her side. "You and me are going out."

Too bad for him that Veronica was suspicious by nature. "Why are we going to the beach this early? And where are we buying coffee at the beach?"

"We can do that after we go to the beach," he offered and got up. He moved to her wardrobe and started looking for sweats and a shirt to wear.

Now that she was a little more awake, Veronica noticed how Cameron was dressed. "You're trying to make me go running with you!" she accused.

"I'll run, you come with me," he said, grabbing a random t-shirt from the pile.

He frowned when he noticed the USAF logo on it and turned around, holding it up. "What's this?"
