While the trip to the Underworld had gone pretty smoothly (despite getthing caught), Cameron somehow couldn't shake the image of Bel holding the orb containing his father's soul. Somehow this had resulted into a telephone call home and him agreeing to go home for the holidays ( Read more... )

Cally knocked on Cameron's door with her free hand.

The other was holding a bowl of pudding.

Cameron went to open the door. "Yo, Cally!" he greeted, his eyes immediately going to what she was holding. "Is that what I think it is?" he asked with a grin.

"Assuming you think it is pudding, yeah," Cally said. "If you think its anything else, well, then there might be a problem."

"Good thing I was thinking pudding then," he said, stepping back to let her inside. "Chocolate?"

Cally stepped in and held out the bowl. "Chocolate," she said. "As a peace offering for you being waaaaay too overembarassed." She grinned.

"I have a reputation to keep up," he grinned and accepted the bowl. "Plus. Bribes are always welcome. Have a seat," he said, motioning to the couch as he went hunting for a spoon.

Cally plopped down on the couch. "Victim of any pen or book attacks?" she asked.

"One of my pens just rebelled and there was a scuffle with my books yesterday, but I survived," he plopped down on his bed after finding a spoon and happily dug in. "You?"

"It's healed up, but one of my favorite books gave me a bit of a shiner on Monday," Cally said. "Not fun at all."

Cameron winced. "That sucks. How have your finals been so far?"

"I think I did quite well," Cally said. "All I have is Fitness on Friday, and I'm done with the semester."

"I've Constant Vigilance after that still," he replied in between bites. "I'm looking forward to the holidays."

"Going anywhere special?" Cally asked.

"I was just going to L.A. to spend Christmas there and meet up with Veronica, but my mom just called and insisted that I at least go down there for two days. So I'll be going to Memphis and then meet up with Veronica in L.A.," he explained.
