As it finally had stopped raining, Cameron was going to make the most of this day. He'd quickly gone down to the mainland to a garage this morning and hired all the equipment he might need. Now he was sitting on the grass, beside his swoopbike and cans of paint and paint remover and airbrush equipment while reading a book on how to do this. Maybe

Since John's first class isn't until later, he's up early and heads outside. Spotting Cam, he heads over and smiles.

"Hey, man. Nice toy."

Cameron grinned at John. "Isn't it? And she's running too. Sam fixed it this Monday."

"What is it?" John asks, kneeling down next to the bike.

[cameronmitchell]

"Swoopbike from Coruscant," Cameron explained. "I bought it on our trip there. It's a motorbike, only it sort of hovers above the ground and can go four times as fast."

"Oh, kinda like a souped up motorcyle then?"

[cameronmitchell]

"Sort of," Cameron nodded and motioned with his book towards the stuff around him. "All I've got to do now is paint it. I'm thinking black."

"What, no pink?" John asks and grins.

[cameronmitchell]

"Oh yeah, and I'm thinking of putting ribbons on the side of the handles too," Cameron deadpanned.

"I dare you," John says mildly.

Cameron blinked. "I think that's one dare I'm going to pass up on."

"Awww." John frowns. "So, met any of the new kids yet?"

[cameronmitchell]

"Not really," Cameron frowned. "I think I've managed to somehow not get swamped by them. I met one and then one who I thought was new but actually wasn't."

"Yeah?" John takes a seat on the ground, leaning back on his hands. "What'd you think?"

[cameronmitchell]

"He was cool, a bit snarky but I think that means he'll fit right in," Cameron shrugged. "What about you? DId you manage to break a lot of brains yet?"

"There was brain breakage but indirectly," John says slowly.

[cameronmitchell]

That's a weird way of putting it and Cameron glances at John. "What do you mean?"
