Kawalsky was then gutted by a genetically altered freaky monster. Thankfully, it was just in the game, so he hit the shortcut for pause and pushed himself back, snagging the envelope. He looked at the logo and raised his eyebrows, handing it back. "You gonna open it or stand there hopping around?"

"Well, you could leave it, but you never know the time difference between here and home. Might be glitches in the causeway. You could miss a deadline." Yeah, he was baiting Cam.

Cameron's mouth fell open as he hadn't thought about that. "Dude," was all he said as he snagged the enveloped back and tored it open. At least it was thick and there were brochures in it and that had to be good. Right?

He finally located the accompanying letter. Found that he was trying to read it upside down, turned it the right way and scanned over it, mumbling the words and paced around the room. He finally came to a stop and turned towards Kawalsky. "They want me to take the physical aptitude test and the medical exam," he said as if he couldn't quite believe it.

The teasing went right over his head and he quickly looked up the dates. "No, I got a few months left."

Grinning, Kawalsky slapped him on the arm playfully. "Then what're you standing there all dumbfounded for? You look like a jarhead. You got through! Smile, laugh, swear like a flyboy, jump on the bed - something!"

"I can't really believe it," Cameron confessed, but a grin broke loose and he went with the first thing that came to mind and hugged Kawalsky. In a manly fashion of course.

"I'm not in yet," Cameron pointed out, but he was definitely planning on acing those tests. "The medical exam should be a breeze. I just really got to up the training for the PAE."

"Sure do," Kawalsky agreed. "But be glad you got this far. Most guys don't. Enjoy it! Celebrate, man. Then tomorrow wake up and get your ass into gear." He grinned.

Kawalsky seriously considered it until he remembered Marie. "Can't, got a date on Sunday, but we can go out tonight and celebrate."

"Tonight's fine, man. We'll paint the town red," Cameron said, bouncing on his feet. He might be like that the entire day. "I didn't know you had a date."
