Room 223, evening

As Molly requested the day before, Cameron was wearing his cap backwards and he hadn't called her 'Shorty' the whole day. Which might have to do with not having seen her yet. Possibly.

Either way, feeling down with the backwards thing, he was watching television with his head hanging down and his feet on the back of the couch. It made reruns more

After processing her conversation with Logan which was still in progress in another post, Molly went to Cam's room to, once again, try and get her hats back.

She took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

"S'open," he called because he wasn't going to move.

Molly opened the door and went in, shutting it again behind her. "I am here for my hats," she said simply.

"I'm sorry, you just missed them. They got bored and went on a trip to the Bahama's," he told her, not moving from the couch.

"Ha ha, funny," she said and went to sit on the couch with him. "Seriously, I want my hats back."

He lifted his head so he could look at her. "Why? You look nice like this."

Molly just looked back at him for a moment. "Because they're mine. And I like them," she said simply. She really didn't have a better answer than that.

Cameron sighed dramatically. "But I'm going to miss you like this," he whined.

Molly gave him a mildly perturbed look. "You make it sound like I'm shaving my head or something."

There was a lot of wriggling about as he tried to move without actually kicking Molly. He finally managed to sit up, facing Molly. "No shaving your hair or cutting shorter," he said seriously.

Grinning at his contortions, she leaned out of the way to avoid flailing limbs.

When he spoke though, she was quiet for a moment as she just looked up at him. She was trying really hard not to let his words have an affect on her, but he was being so adamant. "Why don't you want me to wear my hats?" she finally asked.

"You can wear hats," he said trying to sound lightly, but he looked serious as he reached out and stroked his fingers through her hair. "I like it."

He was doing it again. Making it hard for her to think, hard even to breath properly. "So why don't you want to give them back to me?" Her voice was quiet as she continued to look up at him.

Cameron smiled a bit as he realised he hadn't been clear enough.

"You're cute with a hat," he said. "You're beautiful without."

Molly blushed deeply and looked down. As a friend, she really didn't know how to respond to that.

And that was definitely cute. He rubbed his thumb along her cheekbone and then did something that he probably shouldn't do as he leaned in and kissed her cheek lightly.
