There's an explosion and he's thrown forward in his seat as the plane protests. "Banks you ok?"
"Banks! I'm losing it hang on back there. Eject. Eject." He pulls at the levers, shouting as nothing happens. "Damn it ejection failed. Mayday mayday we are going in. Repeat. We are going in."
Cameron jerks awake in his bed, for a moment all he can see is ice. Then he realises it's just light falling into the window as he forgot to close the curtains and Vala's still beside him.
He plops back down on the bed and turns to face Vala. There's something reassuring about waking up beside her and watching her sleep. He could just lie there for a very long time, but one look at the clock tells him they need to get up now.
