Sam's Residence, Boulder, Colorado - Late Evening

Cameron wasn't drunk, but he felt giddy enough that he might be and somehow he had to fumble with the door and then he was half stumbling in the dark and laughing at once. He found the light switch in the dark, leaving the door open for Sam to follow him in, and got himself an accusing look from both the cat and the dog

"Awww, bad pets," she teased, closing and locking the door behind her, then walking up behind him and stretching a little until her chin was resting on his shoulder. "They don't understand getting pins for rank. Usually it's just about leaving your scent places."

Then she started giggling, "Maybe if you'd just peed in a circle around the house, claiming it in the name of you, they'd have been more impressed."

Cameron snorted and he tilted his head a little towards her. "You'd just make me clean it up again. It'd destroy all the cred I built up in an instant."

With her right arm, she reached around Cam, then reached up to trace his new insignia with a finger. "So you're saying I'm in charge around here, even though you're the officer, huh?"

He was just going to lean back against her now, because this was kind of hot and he liked having a rank. "Yes, Ma'am," he said in his best 2nd Lieutenant voice.

Sam couldn't help smiling into his shoulder - Cam's best 2nd Lieutenant voice was very cute. "Does this mean I get saluted?"

Not that she wanted that in the slightest, but she did want to know what he was going to say.

"Yes, Ma'am," he smirked and reached up to touch her wrist. "When you're not standing behind me, Ma'am."

"No ma'ams," she ordered, suddenly feeling about one hundred and eighty. To dispel the feeling, she bent her head to kiss the nape of his neck, right over his collar. "And I kind of like standing behind you."

She blew a little stream of air over the spot she'd just kissed, uncaring that she still had her coat on.

That earned her a shiver and he was more than happy to let her stand wherever the hell she wanted if she kept doing that. "Miss then?"

Sam shook her head. "Nope. Too formal." She dropped another kiss, this one by his ear. "You shouldn't have to worry about proper forms of address in your own house."

"Sam then?" he was smiling and as much as this was fun, he could think of something else that was fun too. He gently moved away, just far enough so he could turn and slide his arms around her.

"Works for me," she smiled up at him, shrugging her coat off and letting it slide to the floor. She'd get it later. Or something.

Then, she couldn't help herself. "Have I mentioned how gorgeous you look in your blues?"

He laughed and drew her closer, nuzzling her cheek. "Not enough. My head hasn't exploded yet," he teased, turning his head to steal a kiss.

She stepped towards him, then let him steal whatever kisses he wanted. "I think I like your head exactly where it is, thanks."

"I can think of a few other places," he smirked.

Dirty, Cam. So so dirty.

He'd try to distract her from it with another kiss.

Which she gave him as soon as she stopped giggling. "It's good to be open-minded. Shows flexibility."

"And I am everything if not flexible," he waggled his eyebrows at her and he was quite comfortable holding on to her like this.
