It was a little strange to come back to the apartment, but he couldn't stay away forever and his head was a lot clearer now than it had been when he'd left. He was already regretting the part where he'd have to start cleaning up right away and probably call Sam so she knew he wasn't ignoring her.
Except for the part where he found the living room had already been straightened up and his stomach dropped as he slowly started to realise how exactly this might have looked to anyone who he hadn't told he was going to go on his little walkabout. (Which really would be everyone, but most particularly Sam.)
He put his cell phone in the charger and decided to check his voicemail before he did anything. It pretty much confirmed that he was
a dead man. And then there was the
one message that just downright confused him.
But first things first and Cameron dialled Sam's number, deciding that at least this way he had time to draw up his testament before she got here to kill him.
