Spencer thinks he can out-tan me. I admit, he's certainly got an advantage, he seems to tan even when he's at a computer all day.. It's a natural thing for him, while me, I'm just usually pretty white.
All of Spencer's siblings have bright red hair (except McKay's, who's hair get's a bit more dark sometimes) and they all have pasty white skin.
But Spencer is pretty tan, not REALLY tan, mind you, but pretty tan. He's not like his siblings, he has medium brown hair and whatnot-- you can probably already tell from pictures you've seen if you don't already know him.
However, when I told him I was tanning today, he was like.. well:
him: do you mind if I get tan, though?
me: I don't mind-- as long as you're not doing it to out-tan me
him: I could easily though
We started joking around about who could tan more, and I won't admit that he could out-tan me, because if I really tried I really could out-tan him, and to persuade him, I recalled the time my mother picked my brother and I up from the airport some years ago.
We just got back from staying with my dad here in Utah for 6 weeks. There was a lot of camping, boating, canoeing, hiking, blah blah blah, involved in our trip. After walking up to our mother and her having no real reaction to us, glancing at us and then past us, then back again, she laughed hysterically. She told us she didn't recognize us at first because we'd both gotten so tan.
Then I told Spencer to ask my mom about it. "Go ahead, ask her. True Story."
Well, we're not REALLY going to compete and see who can get tanner, but well, it was fun to joke like that. I had forgotten about that time my mom didn't recognize us. That was weird.
Anyway, tanning today, well, I got lazy. I kinda ignored the timer telling me to move and get out of the sun and I got a bit burnt. It's not bad, but it's not like a burn is ever good, either.
I like to say I was making out with the sun, and came away with chapped skin (instead of lips!) and that it was HOT.
HAHA.
AND NOW MY SECONDARY FEELINGS ABOUT THIS ENTRY COME OUT IN AN UNNECESSARY SIGN-OFF:
ugh. bored today. everyone's gone.
