today my prof. let us out after a half an hour. He said "if you guys aren't prepared, you won't get as much out of the class." we were a little confused at first, but then realized that, while we won't get as much out of class, we also won't have to spend as much time IN class, which means we can start the paper due on wednesday. or, in my case, clean off my desk, do laundry,a nd update livejournal. that's almost productive.

there are people outside in the tree. cott is yelling at them. i'm glad the bizarre silence of yesterday morning is gone.
