I finished a book! Don't die of shock.
I read these because
twinkledru and
fox1013 have been talking about them for years.
I enjoyed them. Maybe not as much as I thought I would, but that's the trouble with suspense. I thought sometimes the Victorian-ness of the books was a bit forced, if that makes sense, and there was definately a few moments where I felt that she was really hammering home the point of how repressed the girls were in comparison to the freedom they had in the realms.
That said, I really did enjoy them, Rebel Angels better than the second one. I liked the story and I read them both straight through (almost) without stopping, which doesn't happen any more for me really. I was particuarly drawn in at the end of the second book - I hope there will be another. I seem to have it in my head that it's a trilogy, but I think I've made it up. Also, I want to slash Fee and Pippa alot, but only because it's quite obvious in the books and I am lazy. ;)
In conclusion, worth reading and a huge thanks to
twinkledru for giving me a copy of Rebel Angels.
