Summary: After the death of a knight, Arthur shuts down, refusing to leave his chamber. Merlin sends Gwen in, not really understanding the consequences. Not knowing they have a bit of a history.
Prompt(s): Written for camelot_love's Spring Fling, Part 3 - #39 The first time a knight dies under Arthur's command - prompted by anjali_organna? I know this is probably not what you were expecting but- *sighs* it was the PLoT BuNnIeS I tells you! They REALLY wanted Angry!Arthur. I have no control over them, I'm sorry. I did TRY . . . and then it all slid this way. Believe me, I was surprised when I couldn't picture Arthur PROPERLY having this conversation with anyone . . . which probably says more about ME than anything else XD Bad, imagination. Bad.
Author’s notes: This went a little darker than I wanted. Arthur and Gwen are about 17 - 18ish, pre-show. So, dude ~HORMONES~. I also decided that AS TEENAGERS they are predisposed to sulk and bitch. We all remember those times . . . where being a teenager was pretty much the worst thing, as a teenager, that you could imagine.
He knew he was destructive, and he knew that no one could handle it, saw eyes slide to the side at his words. Mouths tighten. But whatever she had to say to him she hadn’t finished. She wasn’t done with him. Or he her . . .
