The Begining of the End
The producers, writers, and other crew members have been dropping spoilers left and right as they've explained that this series would be much more darker and mature.
For instance we know that this series will end on a cliff hanger. That's huge news and we know that it's going to be wickedly emotional. Again, the staff has tweeted about the finale almost as much as they've tweeted about 4x09.
Another bomb that was dropped was that a character from the past will return in the finale. With purposely vague wording like that I doubt that it will be any dead characters coming. And the more that I think about it the dead stay dead on the show. I know, "Well Lance came back!" That's debatable. :P
With things accumulating like they are I truly believe that after the demise of Uncle Creepy and That Bald Guy Helios Or Something Like That, we will see the return of Mordred returning to the emotional bjorn of Morgana. I can see series 4 ending on that note.
But it won't be the Mordred we saw last. He was 10-12 maybe even 13 years old and that was six years ago. He will have most likely turned into a magical moody violent vengeful teenager/young adult. Oh boy...
Now because we have a potential cliffhanger ending, I don't think there will be a time jump again. If there is it can go either way. It could be another year or it could be ten years (which I don't think anyone wants).
Thoughts? Do you think Mordred will be welcome (as yet another spy) in Camelot or in Arthur's court. Will he just be an outside aggressor? Will he take his vengeance on Uther through Gwen like his mentor?
