Yup, he's confused and feels lonely and can't see and hardly feels his magic. He's not anywhere near well at the moment.
I don't know what will happen.

I can understand why Merlin is so quiet and depressed. Losing his eyesight is enough of a shock and worrying about losing his magic is like losing his sense of self. He must be very frightened.
