Author's Notes: Sad to say this will have to be where I leave off for now. I won't be able to finish this 'verse in time for the deadline tonight. I will be posting it to my journal as soon as I can though. Keep an eye on
merlinxarthur for updates. ^-^ Thanks to everyone who's stayed with this. I had fun with this prompt. I had only intended to write maybe one or two parts originally, but then it turned into this 5000 word monster. Clearly, I don't know what the word 'drabble' means. XD
“You’re a bit of an idiot, you know?”
“Hello, Morgana. I’m doing well, how are you?” Arthur had almost not picked up his cell when he’d seen exactly who was calling. But it came to bite you in the ass when you ignored Morgana. It just wasn’t done.
”Oh hush Arthur. I’m being serious here.”
Arthur rubbed his forehead where he felt a headache coming on. He wasn’t sure he could deal with a serious conversation with Morgana on top of everything happening with Merlin. Dinner last night was tense enough. And on top of that Merlin had gone to his room and locked the door after. Arthur hadn’t seen him all day today either. It was a complete one-eighty from the last couple days’ behavior.
“Serious about what Morgana?”
”I’ve been talking to Merlin.”
A cold bolt of shock went down Arthur’s spine. “Wh - what?”
”You’re behaving just like when he was a kid, Arthur. You’re his big brother, he looks up to you, you know!”
“Yeah, I get it!” Arthur interrupted. He clenched his jaw in frustration. He really didn’t want to talk about this, much less with Morgana.
”I don’t think you do,” He listened as Morgana sighed. Then she started speaking more hesitantly than he’d ever heard her be. “Listen. Have you been having any weird… dreams? Like, déjà vu or oddly familiar things?”
Arthur blinked, not sure where she was going with this. “Weird dreams? Déjà vu? Not for a while. Why?”
“Damn it why don’t you remember?” Morgana’s voice sounded faint, like she was saying to herself rather than asking Arthur.
“Remember what?! Why are you two talking about remembering things all of a sudden?”
“It’s just - damn it, Arthur I can’t tell you. Just - just talk to Merlin, would you? Promise me you’ll talk to him.” And with that she hung up. Arthur stared at his phone for a while, thoughts swirling through his head. What the hell was going on with those two?
