Today has been an all round brilliant day (mostly because I just started rewatching Merlin with a friend) and this is the perfect way to finish the day. Yeah, no A/M in this but look its Gwaine! Even better - its demon!Gwaine !!

And even I like high places because it makes me feel like I'm a little above everyone else and all the petty humans and their problems for just a few minutes! I thought that was just me being weird!

I love the fact that Merlin can easily take Arthur but he's waiting for Arthur to give in. He's planning for the long run, isn't he?

Brill as always. Keep 'em coming!!

Wow, I'm really glad you've had a brilliant day! Rewatching Merlin is always good, too. I'm so happy about bringing in other Angel/Demon characters YOU HAVE NO IDEA like wow Gwaine just happened to come first. Some of the cast is still switching back and forth in my head, but Gwaine has always been a demon, pfft.

I'm a little terrified of heights myself, so sort of stowing myself away in places close to the ground is more my thing, but I figured Merlin would be more of a heights kind of character. Don't worry, it's not you being weird at all!

Eee Merlin's finding that having /feelings/ is a little complicated. He's definitely planning for the long run. He'll wear Arthur down eventually.

Wonderful chapter. Merlin's council with Gwaine, his intense interest in Arthur and the confusion that's resulting.

Can't wait to read the next part. :D

Thank you very much! I've kind of been wanting to introduce other Angel/Demon characters, Gwaine just happened to come first. I can imagine that Merlin's intense feelings for Arthur are a little more than a bit confusing.

This is awesome. I love dark/conflicted!Merlin... :D

EDIT: I think I could read a 20k fic like this. Really, I love it. Love the angst/emotional conflict/jealousy, and Gwaine and Merlin's friendship, and Arthur's innocence... and your writing style is so easy to read and get caught up in. It's beautiful.
