Merlin didn't come off as pathetic at all--actually, he just seemed more like a shy character to me, which is all well in itself.

Okayyy um you asked for con-crit this week, so let me see if I can find something I don't like about it--

I seriously can't find anything holy fuck. The only thing I can nag at you on is the use of commas where you wrote "Foolish foolish foolish." so instead having, "Foolish, foolish, foolish." But I think that's more of a personal preference?

ANYWAY This was glorious in so many ways like, I'm kind of grinning like an idiot right now. This was really cute and I have to say I've actually been in Merlin's position before, what with waving at someone who wasn't waving at me. But seriously adorable, this drabble is. I smell a sequel on the horizon-

Oh good! Because this happened to me last week actually, without the daydreaming and the painful crush part, and I thought that was a little pathetic. But turns out I was just being shy :P Although in my story I played it off as if I actually wanted that person's attention because I wanted to ask them something, which I did btw.

And thank goodness it happened because I was all out of ideas for this prompt!!

That's not con-crit, mate! But yeah 'Foolish, foolish, foolish' does look better, you're right.

I'm glad you liked it though! I had my doubts with this one. Sequel, huh..? There is potential.
