It starts off pure and clean. The solid form of something life sustaining. If a person isn't careful, it becomes easily tainted, but a person can't always defend it. Others can trample on it. Others can ignore the layer of beauty that reflects light in every direction. Merlin doesn't. He sees the joy and playful possibilities all around him and the thick blanket that keeps everything safe. He knows the fierce storm isn't bad. It's a gift of one color that can be instantly a many colored rainbow in tomorrow's sun. Arthur's running around trying to defend against it, hiding himself and his men away from it, but Merlin knows the ways to embrace it without being hurt and he'll gladly share that knowledge with his Prince.
