A while later, Arthur spoke up. “So, we don’t know when havoc will be unleashed on the world?”
“It could be tomorrow; it could be five years from now. We do not know,” Kilgharrah replied.
“That is pretty frustrating.”
“Indeed.”
“But we can plan, and drill.”
“That will be useful,” Merlin said. “But we won’t use swords. I don’t know what we will use. Ther are just too many unknowns.”
“What about this? First, we get back to civilization, as you call it, then we plan,” Arthur said.
“Agreed,” said Merlin. “We’ll be at the car soon enough. We’ve been making good time.”
“You’re sure it’s faster than a horse?”
Merlin clapped a hand on Arthur’s shoulder. “It’s faster than many horses.”
Arthur nodded. “Good. Onward.”
