Merlin drove Gwaine to his house and introduced him to Kilgharrah. Meeting a talking cat/dragon didn’t seem to faze Gwaine at all, so Merlin pressed forward.

Merlin lifted the magical mirror. “I know it sounds so Snow White, but this is how I found everyone.” He looked into the mirror, incanted the spell using Percival’s name, and waited for the mirror to clear up. When it finally did, he showed Gwaine.

“It looks like a pub,” Gwaine said, “but that’s him. That’s Percival.” He took the mirror from Merlin. “This is so cool. Have the others had this opportunity?”

“Yeah, they have.”

“Can I see them sometime?”

“Sure! Let me just text them and see if they can make it over tomorrow night. Does that work for you?”

Gwaine nodded. “My schedule just cleared tonight.”

“Well, it’s awful that happened, but can you help me find Percival tomorrow? The mirror only shows where they are at that moment, and I don’t recognize that pub.”

“Neither do I, which is strange. I know most pubs in town.”

Merlin stood. “Can I take you someplace?”

“Nah. I actually live pretty close to here. I’ll walk home. It’ll help me think over everything.”

“Okay, if you’re sure.”

“Yeah, don’t worry about it.”

“All right. See you back here at noon tomorrow?”

Gwaine grinned. “Can’t wait.”

They clasped arms and Gwaine left.
