"Don't be so dramatic, Guinevere."
"He could have died."
"He had a shield!"
"Which was so heavy that he could barely stand while carrying it, much less lift it in defense."
"Oh well then, I yield. You're right as always. I'll give him a day off."
"Not good enough, Arthur."
"What, then?"
"If you are to make amends, you must apologize properly"
"But it's his job to help me during training."
"You still don't think a servant's life and health are worth very much, do you?"
"You know I do. I love you, Gwen, and I value Merlin, but -"
"But?"
"Don't look at me like that, please. I'll do it. I'll both apologize and give him a day off."
"And raise his wages?"
"If you say so."
"Of course I do."
