Merlin had just arrived home when he heard a terrifying cackle behind him. He jumped and turned to see who or what it was. There stood Morgana, looking like the most evil sexy sorceress he’d ever seen.
“Did I scare you?” she asked with a wicked grin.
“Oh yes. You made me jump!”
“Good. Oh, our costumes arrived today.”
Merlin smiled. “So I take it.”
“Would you like to see the rest of mine?”
“There’s more?”
“Oh yes.”
She led him back to the bedroom where she picked up a wooden-looking staff with a crystal ball on top. She also picked up a belt made of miniature plastic skulls and tied it around her waist. “Pretty freaky, huh?”
“More sexy than freaky, I’d say.” He bent down to kiss her.
“Mm, you really think so?”
“Judging from that thigh-high slit and how fitted your bodice is, I’d say so, yes.” He stole another kiss.
“Are you going somewhere with this?” she asked with a saucy grin.
“Most definitely.”
“I supposed you’ll want to see your costume later?”
“Mm-hmm,” he said, wrapping her in his arms.
“Okay.” She closed the space between them. The costumes were forgotten until much, much later.
