When Morgana put the flower crown on Gwen’s head, she smiled. Gwen was perfection in her shyness, her loyalty, the way she made Morgana feel, a queen in Gwen’s kingdom.
Gentle fingers wove another crown for Morgana, full of flowers and meaning, lilies and daisies, red roses, wild honeysuckle, forget-me-nots and ivy intertwined. Love and forever’s acceptance.
It was almost too much to bear. To love that deeply opened the heart to pain, but Morgana was already lost.
No matter what the future held, Morgana would always be Gwen’s queen and Gwen Morgana’s sovereign. For one day, everything was perfect.
