“Oh, gods, this is a terrible mistake.” Merlin put his head in his hands.
Gwen sat down and slid his beer in front of him. “Why is it terrible? It’s karaoke. It’s always a mistake.”
Merlin looked up at her and pointed to the sign. ‘Disney Karaoke Night! - Sing your favorite songs!’
“Oh. Maybe we can just drink a round and leave.” Merlin simply tilted his head at the stage where his boyfriend was already flipping through the binder of songs with Arthur, Merlin’s best friend and Gwen’s fiance. Gwen grinned at Merlin's long face and patted his shoulder. “Sorry, love.”
Half an hour later and two pints in the karaoke started. “And first up we have Gwaine! Take it away, Gwaine!”
Gwaine smirked as he took the microphone from the deejay. “I can wander with this, yeah?”
The deejay grinned, having been the host for karaoke with Gwaine before. “Sure, mate, live it up.”
Merlin dropped his head on the table with a thunk. He knew where this was going. Sure enough, a minute later he was the recipient of something just shy of an actual lap dance as Gwaine channeled his inner Ursula, his fingers gently tracing Merlin’s high cheekbone as he crooned, “You’ll have your looks, your pretty face…”
He was going to murder Gwaine tonight. Right after he demonstrated the importance of body language to him.
