Merlin and Morgana walked hand in hand down the street. As they passed a jewelry shop, Merlin shivered and stopped walking.
“What is it?” Morgana asked.
“I just had the weirdest sense of déjà vu,” Merlin replied.
“Are you kidding me? I did too.”
“That’s so weird that we would both have it just as we passed this shop. What is it about this place?” He turned to the window and peeked through. Morgana joined him.
“It just feels so familiar. I wish I could remember why.”
Merlin grinned. “We should go in.”
“You think?”
“Yeah. Maybe it’ll jog our memories.”
He led her to the door and opened it for her. As they stepped inside, the feeling got stronger for both of them. “I know what it is!” Morgana said.
“What is it?”
“We came here before Father sent me away. We looked at rings-you wanted to buy me one to remember you by but you didn’t have the money. And you wouldn’t let me buy it for you. I came back the next day and bought it without you. I guess I never told you that.”
“No, you didn’t. How amazing! Do you still have that ring?”
“I do.” She blushed. “It’s in my jewelry box. I’ll show you when we get home.”
“I’m glad you came back and bought it. That’s so romantic.” He gave her a quick kiss.
“I’m glad we came this way.”
“Me too.”
