“It’s so beautiful here,” Morgana said, looking up at the myriad of trees surrounding them.
“Yes, I love this forest,” Merlin replied, taking her hand.
They’d decided to spend the day hiking in the forest nearby, and enjoy a picnic lunch. Only they kept getting distracted by the beauty around them and stopping to take pictures with their camera phones. Birds flew through the air and squirrels jumped from tree to tree. So before they knew it, they stopped for lunch.
After spreading a blanket on the ground, Morgana opened up her backpack to reveal delicious sandwiches, cookies, and bottles of water. They sat and enjoyed the sights and sounds while they ate, reveling in their day off of responsibility. It was truly a beautiful day to remember.
