Voting Rules for 2009 CMVAs

Dec 11, 2009 22:25

The nomination period for the 2009 CMVAs has ended. You can view the final categories and the full listing of videos for the awards here at camelot_awards.

The rules for voting are very simple.

1) In order to vote, leave a comment on this post. All comments are screened and all IP addresses are logged.

2) Winners will be decided based upon how many videos are in the category.
3 nomination and under - 1st place
4 - 14 nominations - 1st and 2nd place
15 and up - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place

In your comment, list your choices (1st for small categories, 1st and 2nd for medium, etc.) accordingly.

Winners will be determined in the following manner:
1st place is worth 3 points
2nd place is worth 2 points
3rd place is worth 1 point

The votes will be tallied according to the above rubric and the final winners will be determined by the total amount of points received.

(This system is based on a system used in a different fandom's video awards. It has worked well there, and is why I chose to try it here.)

3) Vote for each category only once. If I find someone has tried to cheat, their vote will be disqualified. If that person is a nominee, then their video will be pulled from nomination.

4) You can either vote all at once or one category at a time.

Rules may be clarified/changed as needed.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by either leaving a comment here (all screened) or by sending me a PM.

Voting runs from today (December 11th) until December 24th @ 11:59 PM (CST).
