heat and music
Wow, i'm getting famous. I just found out tonight that my friend's dad reads my blog and really likes my writing. Crazy! But cool.
Mmmmmmmmmmm warmth; i think the high today was close to 90 degrees. Most people were cursing the heat, and i have to admit that i was, too, while in the sweltering band room that is both fortituously (for convenience) and foolishly (for cooling, which becomes a major issue when you have 150 Concert Band kids and then 70 Symphonic Band bodies in the room at once, and that's not even starting on bandcamp stories) situated in the center of the school. It is the band room, though, so we love it even when it's baking us to a crisp. But back to the warmth - it's making me quite happy. It's been winter for long enough, and i'd much prefer summer any day of the year, so bring it on!
The forecasters are predicting highs in the 50s towards the end of the week. If only one could effectively protest the weather.
I'm sensing a change in my environment coming on. Not sure what, but i've been very awake and almost anticipatory since Friday. Maybe it's the weather - or perhaps something new and unexpected is just over the event horizon. Well, whatever it is, it'll come, and until it does speculation is quite enough fun in and of itself.
All-City Band Contest tomorrow night at 6:30 pm in East HS auditorium, kids! Come hear LHS clean up at 8:00 if nothing else. It'll be high-quality, and if you bring your student ID you don't have to pay to get in. Come... or face my wrath (insert Noises of Doom here)!
