Well, lovely flist, apologies that I haven't posted links to my most recent fics here. To be honest, real life has really thrown me some lemons over the past 6-8 months, and I've had very little time to myself. Thankfully there is light at the end of the tunnel - for now at least - as my mother's health has stabilised. Phew. Anyway, here are the most recent works, from about May onwards... apologies if you have seen them before. Links under the cut.
Title:
Restoring the Balance of NaturePairing: Merlin / Arthur Pendragon
Rating: Teen and up
Word Count: 6290
Summary: Arthur’s team, the conQuiztadors, are determined to retain their title as champions of the Camelot Round Table quiz. Apart from anything else, it will earn them bragging rights over their arch-rivals, Morgana’s evil ExQuizitors. But Morgana has a secret weapon up her sleeve, in the shape of a new team member called Merlin. And when it turns out that Arthur has met him before, buried memories resurface. With knobs on.
Author’s notes: With all my thanks to my amazing beta reader, archaeologist_d, for her wisdom. What would I do without you to tame the whimsical plot beasts of hell? And to the ever lovely NeuroticNick for being a sounding board when I really needed one. Any mistakes or ridiculousnesses that remain are all mine.
Title:
Aquarius Pairing: Merlin / Arthur Pendragon
Rating: General Audiences
Word Count: 1720
Summary: When Prince Arthur encounters a Naiad, it forces him to question his assumptions about magical creatures.
Author’s notes: For
merlocked18, who requested a drabble. I'm sorry Merls, I can't drabble to save my life. Have a ficlet instead :)
Title:
Brighter SpellsPairing: Merlin / Arthur Pendragon
Rating: Teen and up
Word Count:3307
Summary: New to London, and just out of school, Merlin really needs this magician job to work out. However terrifying Morgana is, it's really kind of her to give him this opportunity to work for tips at her party, and he’s got the sleight of hand thing down to a T. It's just a shame his patter needs work. And his temper. But then his first victim, er client, turns out to be a bit of a prat and he almost loses it completely.

The Queen and the DragontamerAuthor: Camelittle
Artist: LFB72
Pairings/characters: Merlin / Arthur Pendragon, Gwen / Morgana
Rating: Explicit
Word Count: 42,750
Warnings: Minor character death, canon-typical violence
Summary: Queen Ygraine Pendragon and Dragontamer Hunith Wyllt share a problem. Each of them despairs of ever finding a suitable bride for her son. And it doesn't help that the self-styled Queen of the Underworld is hell-bent on stealing away Ygraine's chosen heir for nefarious purposes of her own.
Author's notes: I wrote this for the 2016 After Camlann Big Bang, where I had the privilege of pre-matching with the amazing
LFB72. So many thanks to the mods of this fest for keeping this fandom alive, to my fantastic artist
LFB72 , to my wonderful beta readers,
archaeologist_d and
tari_sue, and the ever-helpeful html-wrangler

Title:
Cafe HelixPairing: Merlin / Arthur Pendragon
Rating: Gen
Word Count: 448
Summary: A backwards romance.
Author’s notes: For
momotastic,
tracionn.
I wrote this ficlet as a postcard for the 2016 COiNELOT convention. So, Momo and Tracci, organisers extraordinaires, this is for you! I like to think that, although I couldn't be there in person, a little bit of me attended. On paper, as it were. With thanks as always to the ever-patient archaeologist_d for beta reading.
DISCLAIMER: Not my characters, I’m not getting paid.
