Your labs are all back and the antibody and compliment levels were normal except for IgE, the antibody which is elevated in allergies.
The report says
Immunoglobulin E : 47 kU/L
Result Comment: Suggests presence of allergic disease

Mean: 13.2
+1 SD (standard deviation) = 41
+2 SD = 127
How are you feeling? Would you like to be referred to the allergist I mentioned, at DHMC. His name is Dr D----- W---------. I think meeting with him could be very useful.

is it terrible that i'm a little disappointed? it doesn't seem right that i should be so sick and miss so much school two years in a row because of allergies. everyone in d.c. has allergies, for god's sake. it's not even a real disease.
(if this is all it is, why do i feel so awful?)
