A few days ago, I lost the shadow I've always stood in. Though he has not so much as given me a second glance all these years, with one less familiar face in the world I couldn't help but feel more alone. But that has all changed since then.
Though I was suddenly unsure of how I could turn this period of uncertainty and turmoil around, I am convinced that I will still be alright. I'm not alone; I'm independent.
This song spells renewed conviction and a new anthem, for myself. For someone with dreams, direction and plans of his own, and no one capable of standing in-between. It's a proclamation, a warning, that I've thrown trepidation out the window and I can do anything as I please.
I don't doubt that it works; it's unthinkable that someone--anyone--could continue sleeping with this.
