Alchism is a belief in the powers on the mind and on the soul that come along with the consumption of alcohol. Obviously the name of the religion is derived directly from the word alcohol. Like the more widespread Buddhism, Alchism is a belief in an idea rather than a god, therefore non-theistic.

The idea of Alchism can be traced back nearly eighty- five years, as a way to combat the negativity associated with prohibition. As anti-alcohol supporters argued that alcohol was the leading reason for domestic problems and complained that it was killing the American family, its supports argued that it made the world less deceitful and made people show their truest of emotions.

Alchism’s supporters are generally known as “Alcho’s”, not to be confused with “Alchi’s” a slang term for alcoholics with a negative connotation attached to it. Alcho’s follow the ideals that alcohol does a great deal of good for the world. For instance, people under the influence of alcohol and practicing alchism show their true feelings thus riding their lives of fakeness, deceit and lies. Also Alcho’s are generally more laid back people due to the affects of the alcohol on the brain.

Obviously the most important feature of the faith is the alcohol itself and the trust of the Alcho’s in its ability to make the world a better place. This religion has it’s benefits because obviously people enjoy the act of getting intoxicated, this gives them the opportunity to expand on such actions, taking into account the feelings that come along with such actions and giving them the opportunity to express them without fear of ridicule. Alcohol as a way of showing one’s inner being rather than their exterior façade.

Alchism also has the ability to bring people closer together through teamwork. Practicing Alcho’s are thought never to control an automobile under the influence but instead instill trust and friendship into another believer as your designated driver, thus bringing the two closer to one another. This practice is to be repeated many times as it will gradually strengthen the bond amongst the followers.

Alchism is a good alternative to other older religions because of the fact that Alcho’s are not told what their beliefs should be, but are encouraged to show their true feelings towards life through the consumption of alcohol. Thus giving them the opportunity to form their own opinion and own feelings on certain matters which have meaning to them.

Like many other religions there are rights of passages associated with Alchism. For followers the first comes between the ages of ten and twenty. This the when one consumes their first alcoholic beverage, typically a beer. This is symbolic of a boy becoming and a man and gaining an understanding of what Alchism is about. They experience the change in their psyche that comes along with the intake of alcohol. The first beer is in most cases a personal occasion shared between the child or adolescent and their parents. The next right of passage comes when one has their first outburst of emotion while under the influence of alcohol. There is no telling when this will happen and what exactly a person will be feeling when it does happen. Generally this happens within 5-7 years after the first alcoholic beverage is consumed. It can be crying after a build up of sadness or emotion or on the other hand can sometimes be angry, rage filled or violent. The reason these are acceptable is because it is giving the individual the freedom to express his truest feelings. This gives the follower an understanding about the therapeutic benefits of alcohol, helping one to cleanse the soul. The third right of passage is when one consumes his first martini. This is an occasion because this is a drink of leisure and relaxation thus showing the man is old enough understand that the idea of Alchism is a way of gaining more out of the mind through the drinking of alcohol though without going overboard.

A misconception about Alchism is the idea that it is a way to go overboard and drink away ones troubles. This is not the case. Alcohol is used in this case to reach a higher level of spiritual being much like marijuana or peyote would be used by other spiritual sects. Understanding is half of the challenge along with incorporating this way of expanding ones mind.

The afterlife in Alchism is not debated by its followers. It is merely a matter of opinion by his supporters what may happen after they pass away. The afterlife is not a large issue with Alcho’s because of drinking’s relevance to the “hear and now”, which when affecting their mind can have an impact on ones personal opinion about the afterlife. This leaves the individual themselves to form an opinion on what the unknown future holds for them.

Alchism does not follow the typical idea of what a place of warship would be as well as the idea that its followers do not openly pray either. The place of warship for Alcho’s? any bar or liquor store where alcoholic beverages of expression can be purchased.

The idea of Alchism first came to fruition whan the for- fathers of the great religions sought out new believers. They being Jim, Jack, Ronny and Jose, these four noblemen set out on a journey to enlighten the people looking for hope in a fake society. Offering a mixture of liquered beverages ranging from sour mash whiskey, tequilla as well as an assortment of Rum these four men had possibly the greatest impact on the future that would become Alchism. The people they introduced such beleifs too played the part of deciples and spread the word and created what we know today as alchism in its moden form.

The behavior expected of a follower of Alchism is one of complete authenticity, which is achieved through the consumption of alcohol, helping one open up and express themselves truthfully. They are expected to show how they really feel about everything. For instance if something is disliked one would be more likely to express these feelings as well as if something is liked, expressing your feelings on the matter. This makes the minds of the people stronger and everyone their own healthy independent self. This goes along with the treatment of loved ones and strangers as well as enemies. With the help of alcohol the Alcho will treat the people the way they honestly want to treat them and the way they deserve to be treated.

Unlike many other religions marriage does not play an important role in the life of Alcho’s this is because rights of passage do not necessarily need to be had when in the presence of parents.

If any new believers have questions or are skeptical they just need to know that all answers can be found just by trying the ideas (drinking) and understanding how much betterment comes from feeling free and pure. Guidance is found in the alcohol itself and answers are found within, by help from the alcohol.

The “big” problem Alchism is trying to solve is helping people truly show them selves and be them selves and help them express their feelings, alcohol gives them a means to success.

Followers of Alchism appreciate what it does for them. The feeling of freedom, and relaxation. It gives people the freedom to speak their mind and express broad ranges of emotion.
