"Jeanne & Elizabeth" : presented by Doppelgänger Dance Collective and Ensemble Warhol -- Aug. 31-Sept. 1, 2018
Doppelgänger Dance Collective and Ensemble Warhol join forces with Fort Point Theatre Channel and Green Street Studios in presenting "Jeanne & Elizabeth," an evening of dance accompanied by live classical music, performing compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Mark Warhol.
"Jeanne & Elizabeth" consists of two independent works on the program. The first piece, "Men and Their Machines," is an aria taken from the opera JEANNE, which is based on a libretto by James Swindell, with choreography developed by dancers/choreographers Shura Baryshnikov and Danielle Davidson. The second piece, "Elizabeth III," is choreographed by Doppelgänger Dance Collective's resident choreographer Heidi Henderson.
Performances Friday & Saturday, August 31 and September 1, 8 pm. Green Street Studios, 185 Green Street, Cambridge, MA 02139. Tickets $25 ($20 students, seniors, and members of the Boston Dance Alliance).
