Cambridge Carnival and associated road closures tomorrow

The Cambridge Carnival will be held on Saturday, September 10 from noon to 6 PM in Kendall Square.

The carnival is embarking on its 19th year and is one of the largest festivals in Cambridge, attracting more than 150,000 spectators to this free annual event. The highlight of the festival is a grand costume parade accompanied by rich rhythmic musicality promoting all types of cultures. The festival is also an opportunity to enjoy international foods, and purchase crafts from around the world!

The parade starts at 1p.m. and begins near the Charles River at River Street and Blackstone Street, continues up River Street and passes through Central Square along Massachusetts Avenue, continues up Main Street and ends in Kendall Square.

Main Street, from Wadsworth to Vassar Street, as well as Ames Street will be closed from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The parade route, from Kendall Square down Main Street to Central Square, will be closed from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
