I love the phrase "stubborn abandonment." I don't know what it was that resonated in my soul, but it did.

I'm glad I had the chance to talk with you via telephone last week. It had been far too long. I miss you, Miss Lee.

I used the game idea you gave me, the one where you have the kids be different words in the sentence. They loved it, and what is even better, it works!

i expect you noticed the ?freudian? mistake of your old friend: "you're a beautiful writer" instead of "you write beautifully".

i mean to tell you that you write beautifully.

I did not notice that perhaps you, mysterious old friend #1, subconsciously wanted to tell me I was beautiful. But thanks for clearing that up, not so old friend, who perhaps is the same person as the old friend, but perhaps is not. Either way, I'm glad you(both) enjoy my writing. And that one of you might possibly, albeit in a suppressed sort of way, find me attractive.
