Uncanny resemblance
I tried to post something like this once long long before but the pics never got uploaded so I gave up but a recent sighting made me rethink of making this again.
I am generally good with faces and recognising people even with their back to me just by the shape of their head or such but sometimes, my radar gets stumped and I am surprised how two completely unrelated people so starkly resemble each other that I could confuse one for the other.....Just on telly though...
Linda Evangelista and Milla Jovovich:- Even with the slight differences, the resemblance is so startling. A recent ad of Loreal aging cream surprised me when the model that I thought was Jovovich said she was 42, I was like "That is just NOT possible" until I noted her name in the next rerun of the same ad. Then I fished out the fotos and even though you could not mistake them if you are a fan of either or both, but for me, it was really hard to believe that woman smiling back on the Ad was not Jovovich.
I think I first saw Brittany Snow in the music video of Ride (Tiesto remix) and thought the uploader got the cast wrong as it was a Brittany Snow and not Murphy. Then I thought she got married, and after some research, I realized, she is a completely different girl and I thought if they were sisters, how come their surnames differed. Then now I know that Brittany Snow and Brittany Murphy are actually completely unrelated. Besides, the eye colours dont match...and I think Brittany Murphy might not be a natural blonde...But if you cover their eyes , I bet you wouldn't be able to say they are different women...
The one on the right is Vidya Malvade, a Indian model-actress, dont think she is well known but saw her in an ad (yep, again) and then thought she looked like an Indian version of that actress who was in dumb and dumber, movie with Jim Carrey. Tried to pick some pics that show how their facial muscles are similarly structured.
When I saw Forrest Gump, I was struck that how could an old day actress from Dr Zhivago hold her age so well - me, having an extremely bad sense of timeline for which era any movie belong to. It took me a while to realize that these actresses- Robin Wright Penn and Julie Christie- dont actually resemble each other as I thought they did but some similarities nonetheless exist.
I watched watchmen movie and thought, wow! didnt know Robert Downey Jr was here until I checked the cast and was thinking who was this guy who played the comedian. He did seem chunkier than Downey Jr and found out he was pretty famous himself since he was in Grey's anatomy (never saw it) but seeing snippets of it, I think I must have seen Downey Jr in there and that was actually this guy. Downey Jr is actually a bit more youthful looking I guess but what makes it confusing is that both have the same mannerisms. It is more confusing if their personalities match.
You wont mistake these people for the same person but they look strangely alike. To the left is Timothy Omundson of Psych comedy-drama series, which is where I saw him and to the right is a Bollywood actor Amir Khan.
I dont know the real name of the young boy to the left who plays "Calvin" in the episode "Trophy" of Law and Order SVU but expressions and lip movements not to mention facial features show a sort of offspring resemblance to Bridget Fonda in Single White Female to the right. If they have no relation, it is an odd resemblance between non blood related 46 year old actress and 10-12 year old boy.
Towards the left is Kristin Stewart of the Twilight fame, one of her pics wth blonded hair-you see the roots and towards the right is a proper blonde, though I dont know whether she is a natural- Teresa Palmer. They might look quite different but when I saw the movie trailer for Take me home tonight, I wondered how an incredibly blond Kristin Stewart turned up in such a flick and still looked so dull as she did in all Twilight movies. Well, both act equally dull and dispassionately pale, so dont blame me for mixing them up!
I have been a big fan of CSI and I do love the character Lady Heather. Now exhausted of all crime series I could watch I reverted to Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot. I was watching "Peril at End House"- a book I had read long ago. And the beautiful young heiress's face struck me. She looked different from other Poirot beauties. It was later that I realise, Ah! But it looks like Lady Heather! Until I found out Lady Heather played by Melinda Clarke(right) is actually a different person, an American actress while the one in Poirot is an English actress called Polly Walker(Left). Both are close in age and are Taurean women but I suppose Google pics spurts out more glamorous pics of Melinda than Polly, who rarely does a dark hair. I think they looked more similar when younger than now. Nonetheless, both are very beautiful women.
Well, I am pretty sure, there are counterparts all through the world and sometimes even in different races. It would be nice to browse through similar looking people like that. So if anyone does read this, and would like to suggest some- I would be more than glad to know and enjoy... :D Peace
