Shake your hips, move your feet.
I'm so glad that I'm an island.
On the shortest day of the year... the sun is in my eyes.
Welcome to my winter solstice!
On the shortest day of the year, the sun was in my eyes.
So what did Cam do on the shortest day of the year? Too much for her to have time to write about it...
And for the year to come? Ya... I've got it covered, because right now I am full up with joy.
The day after the shortest day of the year.
They are panicking! I can see them through the window. Sometimes through the window of the bus, and sometimes through the window of the store, and sometimes through the verbal windows of the telephone and the radio.
They want to get places and buy things and they are getting angry that other people are in their way and beating them to it. They're killing each other on the roads, and throwing punches at each other in the walmart parking lot... and all I can think about is how my friend's son played with my puppy in the snow until all my puppies energy was spent, about how closely my little frog watches me these days, about The Parents trip to mexico and how great it will be to eat with them before they go, about the drive to the airport to pick up Ryan and how much joy I feel knowing that I'll be there to welcome him home at long last, about making Korean BBQ for my mothers birthday tomorrow, about how I painted the nails on my right hand red and the nails on my left hand green, about how Nathan will make fun of my nails later, and about how I will be with the people I love this year and I wont even care if they love me back.
Perhaps I am in the eye of the storm... but it seems as though as long as I keep pace with that storm, then I'll never need to see anything but the eye for the rest of my life. I wonder if I can live with that.
