Windows 8 Rage.
So my mom got a new laptop with Windows 8 and after spending 2 min trying to use it I can honestly say I want to throw the entire laptop off a very very tall building.
Windows 8 is designed for use with a tablet, not a regular PC or laptop, and you can tell because the stupid piece of shit thing makes it ridiculous to shut down "apps". I had to fucking search - on bing mind you because they don't make it easy to switch over to google, actually I'd argue that Windows is doing everything in their power to make sure that you use only microsoft products and applications (how narcissistic)- how to turn off skype because it automatically linked my mom's windows account to my brother's skype account and I am positive my mother doesn't want a bunch of 14 year olds skyping her in the middle of the night.
The biggest problem with it autolinking skype? It won't let me log off! WTF.
Then I tried to change the security settings...
UGH. WHY.
just NO. I don't even want to talk about it because I was seriously in tears.
This OS is honestly the most awful idea if you're not using it on a touch based interface. The learning curve is stupidly hard, even for someone like me, who can usually figure out any computer.
