I was only a quarter of the way into this book when I realized what an effective manager my cockatiel is. He has clear goals (pasta! toast! you!), communicates them effectively (wheet! WHEET! It is, there's all sorts of fascinating business stories in there. For example, the whole Conrad Black affair was a big deal in Canada, but I had no idea that Henry Kissinger was on the board of directors for Hoillinger...now how does a man like Kissinger fail to keep Conrad Black in check? It's all hierarchy baby!
